Ice is yucky!

I was doing great until the ice came over the weekend. I don't walk well on ice when all my feet work right and I really don't do well with three feet. AP had to shovel the yard so I could go out and do my business and I fell a couple of times until she made me a spot. All my boots are lightweight and smooth on the bottom so they were no help. AP is going to have to try and find me a boot with spikes!

Water - not a fan

I am the Tonka Dog and I don't like water! The only kind of water I will tolerate has a beach attached to it or comes in the form of fluffy snow. I don't like sprinklers, baths, rain or ice. I really, really, really don't like ice and it is my number one enemy right now. I can't even go out to go potty without my paws slipping every which way. AP has tried to chop up and shovel the ice away but it is slow going. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain and I don't like rain, but if it gets rid of the hard snow and the ice then I will deal with it for a day. It's hard to have 4 paws and walk on ice and it's even harder when you can't see. Water - not a fan...

Take Cover

AP here: Tonka and I woke up today to snow on the ground which was supposed to just be rain. We headed out on our morning walk and we were having so much fun at the park. Tonka was shoveling snow with his nose in between playing duck, duck, goose and it started to rain a little. The next thing I know its pelting down ice, and not little pieces of ice -big hunks of ice - that hurt. I looked over at Tonk and he was blinking his eyes really quick and shaking his head with a panicked look. I grabbed him up by the collar and we ran for the woods. We got under the trees and it was still coming down so we ducked under the jungle gym and hid out for awhile until it eased up.
